LUDLOW, CA. (Pain In The Pass) >> The San Bernardino County Coroner’s Office has identified the driver and passenger killed in a three vehicleWednesday morning on Interstate 40 in the town of Ludlow.
The driver has been identified has Keilamarie Duran San Miguel, a 36-year-old resident of Orlando, Florida, and the passenger Christian Joel Pantoja Sanchez, a 40-year-old resident of Orlando, Florida.
The crash was reported about 7:09am on May 6, 2026, came from an automated crash notification system from an iPhone. The location of the crash was on the eastbound lanes of I-40 about 3 miles after the Crucero Road/Route 66 exit, according to California Highway Patrol officers and the San Bernardino County Fire Department.
“For reasons still under investigation the driver failed to yield to stopped traffic ahead, resulting in the collision with three semis.
Both were deceased at the scene.
This incident will be under investigation by the California Highway Patrol, Barstow Office.
