HESPERIA, CA. (Pain In The Pass) >> Drivers traveling through Hesperia should expect more delays in the city beginning Monday, May 18, as a roadway rehabilitation project gets underway on Maple Avenue, according to the Hesperia City Work Department.
The project will span from Main Street to Ranchero Road about a 3-mile stretch of the roadway. This includes milling and repaving the existing roadway surface. Officials said the work is designed to improve driving conditions and extend the lifespan of the pavement through a full structural rehabilitation process. (see map below)

Roadwork could start at 7am to 5pm* on each day Monday-Friday.
*Times can subject to change and could go longer or shorter than planned each day. Schedules are subject to change due to inclement weather or construction issues.
Motorists should expect potential lane and road closures, detours, and traffic delays throughout the project area. Please plan ahead and allow additional travel time for your commute.
Please obey all posted signs, construction personnel, and speed limits while traveling near the project area.
Construction is anticipated to continue through November 2026.
