HESPERIA, CA. (Pain In The Pass) >> One person was killed after California Highway Patrol say the driver crashed into the back of a semi-truck and rolled over multiple times “at a high rate of speed” on Interstate 15 Saturday morning.
According to the CHP traffic log, the crash happened around 4:24am June 20, 2026, on northbound I-15, just after the Ranchero Road exit off the right shoulder of the freeway.
It was reported the driver of a black sedan was speeding prior, lost control, and hit the back wheels of a semi-truck with no trailer. The impact was forceful enough to cause the sedan to rollover off the right side of the freeway. The vehicle reportedly took out about 25 feet of chain-link fence.
First responders-initiated life-saving measures on the driver, sadly the driver was deceased at the scene.
The driver of the semi-truck was not injured.
At this time San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department did not release the name or age of the driver who died.
The factor what lead up to the collision in under investigation.
