SAN BERNARDINO, CA. (Pain In The Pass) >> Interstate 215 in the north end of San Bernardino is back open after crews closed the freeway off and on due to utility work Sunday morning.
Crews closed northbound and southbound lanes on Sunday between Palm Ave/Kendall Dr. and Devore Road due to unknown utility working on lines over the freeway, according to Caltrans.
Utility work started at 5am and was suppose to end by 10am and that was extend to 11am for an issue.
California Highway Patrol said, they were supposed to do a traffic break for about 15 minutes for each line across the freeway.
Around the last one traffic break was before 10am they had some sort of an issue and didn’t finish until 11am.
All lanes are now back open in both directions.
