HESPERIA, CA. (Pain In The Pass) >> A small brush fire that broke out near Summit Valley Road Sunday morning and was quickly extinguished by firefighters.
The fire was reported at around 9:07am on July 26, 2026, on the side of the Telephone Canyon Road near Summit Valley Rd in the city of Hesperia, according to the San Bernardino County Fire Department.
It was reported the Summit Fire at about 1 acre with the potential to grow to 5 to 10 acres.
At 10am fire crews had a hose lay around the fire with help from a water dropping helicopter. Forward rate of spread has been stopped at 5 acres.
No injuries were reported and there were no reports of damaged structures.
The cause of the fire was unknown, according to the SBCFD.
Crews would also be on the scene for another two to three hours to strengthen control lines and extinguish hot spots.
