CAJON PASS, CA. (Pain In The Pass) >> No injuries were reported after a car caught fire just off of Interstate 15 Friday evening.
California Highway Patrol and San Bernardino County Fire said they received a call of a vehicle fire that happened on northbound Interstate 15 about two miles before the Oak Hill Road exit. The incident happened around 6:45pm on August 21, 2026, a sliver Volvo S60 T5 sedan was reported on fire on the right shoulder of the freeway.
Flames were coming from the engine compartment. Everybody did escape the vehicle before catching fire.
Crews managed to control the blaze before the flames hit nearby brush.
There has been no word on any injuries.
