APPLE VALLEY, CA. (Pain In The Pass) >> Fire crews responded to the Juniper Fire, a brush fire burning in the hills above Apple Valley on Juniper Flats Road Friday afternoon.
Forward Progress Stopped on Juniper Fire in Apple Valley; Mapped at 65 Acres
According to San Bernardino County Fire, the fire is burning in dry grass and brush next to Juniper Flats Rd. near Deep Creek Hot Springs Trailhead. The call came in shortly after 1:30pm on September 25, 2026.
Multiple agencies joined to help fight the blaze including, Apple Valley Fire, CAL FIRE, and BLM.
At one point the fire had a potential for 200 acres at a moderate rate of spread.
With help from at least two water dropping helicopters and multiple airplanes dropping retardant around the fire.
Forward rate of spread had been stopped at 65 acres at 4pm.
No structures were threatened. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
