VICTORVILLE, CA. (Pain In The Pass) >> The Victorville Police Department confirmed a driver was given a citation after going over twice the speed limit.
This driver was clocked at 111 mph, more than double the speed limit in the city zones.
Reminder each officer, could tow your vehicle and arrest you on charges of criminal speeding and reckless driving.
Victorville Police said, speeding at this level puts everyone at risk. At over 100 mph, your ability to react, stop, or avoid an accident drops dramatically and the chance of a fatal crash increase.
Speed limits aren’t suggestions, they’re safeguards.
Arriving late is better than not arriving at all.
A citation is minor compared to a life lost.
Officers urge everyone to “drive smart, slow down and stay alive.”
