CAJON PASS, CA. (Pain In The Pass) >> A vehicle fire broke out on northbound Interstate 15 in the Cajon Pass Tuesday afternoon.
California Highway Patrol and firefighters responded to a vehicle fire on northbound I-15 about a mile after the Highway 138 exit about 12:27pm on July 22, 2025.
A blue Kia Sorento SUV pulled over to the right shoulder of the freeway with flames coming from the engine compartment.
According to CHP, the two right lanes were blocked for about an hour.
CHP said there were no injuries.
The lanes have since reopened.
