CRESTLINE, CA. (Pain In The Pass) >> Several people were hospitalized when two separate off-road incidents happened Saturday afternoon in the San Bernardino County Mountains.
Both incidents occurred on Saturday August 23, 2025, around 1:30pm.
The first incident happened near Lake Arrowhead, San Bernardino County Fire Dispatched Urban Search and Rescue (USAR) unit and its own off-road Advanced Reconnaissance Vehicle (ARV) as part of its response to reach an injured adult male motorcyclist. The patient was then transported by ambulance to a waiting Sheriff’s Aviation helicopter #108 for transport to a Loma Linda University Medical Center. Rescuers noted the subject wore full protective gear, likely helping reduce the chance of catastrophic injuries.
Simultaneously near Crestline, three individuals were injured when their four-wheel All-terrain vehicle (ATV) that rolled over on 2n49 Bailey Canyon Road. San Bernardino County Fire crews from Station 25 responded, treated and transported them to a trauma center as well.
SBCoFD says, our local mountains are a haven for outdoor adventures like off-roading and hiking. Safety gear, ample water and supplies should be part of each outing when you take to the back roads and trails.
