HESPERIA, CA. (Pain In The Pass) >> A small vegetation fire erupted Saturday night on a hillside in Deep Creek near the spillway in south Hesperia, prompting a quick response from firefighters.
The so-called Arrowhead Fire was reported shortly before 9:45pm September 20, 2025, near Arrowhead Lake Road and Highway 173. The fire was burning in light fuel with a slow rate of spread.
No evacuations, structural damage or injuries were immediately reported.
Several fire engines responded to the scene and firefighters hiked up the hillside to attack the flames.
The fire was knocked down around 10:30pm at a half-acre burned.
Crews were in the area for 2-3 hours to make sure all hot sports were out.
