HESPERIA, CA. (Pain In The Pass) >> A male driver was ejected and airlifted to a local hospital after a high-speed crash Tuesday night in Hesperia.
According to the San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department, deputies from the Hesperia Station were dispatched around 11:54pm on December 30, 2025. to Santa Fe Avenue near Yucca Street after reports of a crash and an unresponsive person in the roadway.
When deputies arrived, they found a patient — only identified as an adult man down in the roadway with a vehicle on fire with parts scattered across the road.
He was airlifted by Mercy Air 22 helicopter from Hesperia Airport to Arrowhead Regional Medical Center with serious injuries.
According to multiple sources the crash appears to be attempted suicide.
This incident will be under investigation by the San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department, Hesperia Office.
