CAJON PASS, CA, (Pain In The Pass) >> A vehicle fire had shut down northbound Interstate 15 in near the top of the Cajon Pass Tuesday morning.
The fire occurred about two miles from the Oak Hill Road exit in the northbound lanes of I-15. It was reported about 7:22am on January 13, 2026, with flames coming from the engine compartment.
California Highway Patrol and firefighters were on the scene to work on getting the small SUV fire put out. They had to temporary shutdown all northbound lanes.
Everybody did escape the vehicle before it became fully engulfed.
No injuries were reported in this incident.
