BAKER, CA. (Pain In The Pass) >> At least one person was killed in a crash involving a semi-truck and a pickup truck on southbound Interstate 15 near the town of Baker Monday morning.
The crash was reported at about 6:51am on May 11, 2026, near mile marker 143 about seven miles before the town of Baker on southbound I-15.
Stated on the California Highway Patrol traffic log the crash involved a green semi-tractor-trailer and a red/brown pickup truck.
The pickup truck struck the center divider guardrail before traveling to the right shoulder of the freeway and overturning multiple times.
Firefighters from San Bernardino County Fire determined they need multiple Medvec helicopters to land at the scene.
Mercy Air #66 helicopter landed at the airport with crews loaded one person on the helicopter and transported to University Medical Center Southern Nevada UMC Hospital for treatment.
Mercy Air #21 helicopter landed at the airport with crews loaded one person on the helicopter and transported to Providence St. Mary Medical Center in Apple Valley for treatment.
At least one person was killed involved is the crash.
The condition of the everybody has not been released at this time.
