HIGH DESERT, CA. (Pain In The Pass) >> A Wind Advisory for Tuesday morning 10am will last until Wednesday as a weather system goes over SoCal. A Gusty Wind Event is for the mountains, Victor/Apple Valley, Lucerne Valley, and the Mojave Desert locations.
This could create hazardous driving conditions and areas of blowing dust for the high desert and in the mountains.
The Southern California Weather Force has issued a Wind Advisory for the high deserts and the mountain areas. With winds blowing around from the south to southwest direction at 40-50+ mph in the Victor/Apple Valley area. Parts of the Barstow area will have 45-55+ mph winds. Lucerne Valley area will have 45-55+ mph winds. Mountains will have gust 30-40+ mph. Stateline/Primm/Las Vegas NV will have 40-50+ mph winds. Max wind gust will be 50+ mph in spots.
Potential for hazardous crosswinds and blowing dust on Interstate 15 from the top of the Cajon Pass through Las Vegas NV as well as other roadways in the desert.
Also secure all outdoor stuff like chairs, BBQ, and other outdoor decorations.
This Wind Advisory should expire by Wednesday night around 6pm.
