LUCERNE VALLEY, CA. (Pain In The Pass) >> A brush fire in Lucerne was quickly contained after it ignited around 1:31pm Saturday afternoon, covering approximately 20 acres and jumping into property yards.
San Bernardino County Fire Department and with help from CAL Fire were called to the scene of a brush fire in Lucerne off of Custer Avenue and Carson Street.
Authorities said the fire was fast-moving with the help from afternoon gusty winds.
Multiple structures were threatened and requested structure protection.
Crews were able to get the fire under control with a help by a helicopter.
At 3pm crews were able to stop forward progress.
The cause of the fire is under investigation at this time.
Fire crews will be out there for several hours this afternoon.
