BARSTOW, CA. (Pain In The Pass) >> A fatal accident involving a semi-truck and two pedestrian early Tuesday morning on the Interstate 15 Freeway.
The incident was reported at approximately 12:14am on August 11, 2026 on northbound I-15 about two miles after the Hodge Road exit. According to the California Highway Patrol, the collision involved a semi-truck and two pedestrians, identified only as a male and a female, who were reportedly on the side of the road when struck.
Emergency responders were dispatched to the scene immediately, with units arriving shortly.
Tragically, one individual was confirmed deceased at the scene by 12:29am, prompting a request for the San Bernardino County Coroner’s office.
The other pedestrian was transported to a nearby hospital in unknown conditions.
The northbound lanes were temporarily closed for over 3 hours for the coroner and for the investigation.
