HESPERIA, CA. (Pain In The Pass) >> This morning, at about 3:37am August 13, 2026, the San Bernardino County Fire Department received calls regarding a brush fire near the train tracks.
Hesperia Police officers and firefighters immediately responded to the area and found a fire burning the brush in the hills of Hesperia above Summit Valley Road.
Firefighters started battling the Trout Fire at a moderate rate of spread with help of cool gusty winds.
At 5:50am the forward progress was stopped and a hose lay around the fire.
They estimated the fire burned about 5 acres in size.
Authorities have yet to release a cause of the fire.
