BARSTOW, CA. (Pain In The Pass) >> A woman who was killed Tuesday morning when she walked in front of two semi tractor-trailers on Interstate 15 has been identified.
Rachel Alailima, a 40-year-old pedestrian from Bellflower, California.
Preliminary reports from the California Highway Patrol said, that Alailima was walking in the northbound traffic lanes of the 15 Freeway about two miles from Hodge Road exit, for unknown reasons when she was hit by the two-semi tractor-trailer.
She was pronounced deceased at the scene, according to records from the San Bernardino County Coroner’s Office.
The collision caused debris to scatter across the freeway, prompting the CHP to issue a full closure for roughly four hours while investigators the scene.
This incident will be under investigation by the California Highway Patrol, Barstow Office.
