MOUNTAIN PASS, CA. (Pain In The Pass) >> Authorities are currently investigating a Fatal two-vehicle crash that occurred on northbound Interstate 15 near Stateline early Thursday morning, where a person was ejected from the vehicle after swerved into a semi tractor-trailer.
According to the California Highway Patrol, officers and San Bernardino County emergency personnel responded on August 27, 2026 about 2:20am to the area northbound I-15 near mile marker 169 or about two miles before Bailey Road for a reported two-vehicle accident with one driver ejected.
Upon arrival, officers learned that a white Nissan Murano SUV was traveling on north I-15 when the male driver swerved, lost control, and hit a semi tractor-trailer. The impact caused the driver to be ejected onto the pavement.
They requested a Medevac helicopter to land at the crash scene.
Sadly, the person was pronounced deceased at the scene.
Northbound 15 Freeway was shut down for several hours while the scene was analyzed. At 5:30am CHP opened the fast lane.
No further information was provided.
