APPLE VALLEY, CA. (Pain In The Pass) >> Firefighters extinguished a vehicle fire on Interstate 15 in Apple Valley Thursday afternoon, according to the San Bernardino County Fire Department.
Firefighters responded at about 1:53pm on September 10, 2026, to a report of a vehicle fire on southbound I-15 about a mile before the Dale Evans Parkway exit.
Upon arrival, crews found an active fire in the vehicle’s engine compartment. Firefighters stretched a hose line and quickly brought the fire under control, according to the fire company.
Everybody did escape the black SUV before it became fully engulfed.
No injuries were reported at the scene.
The cause of the vehicle fire is unknown at this time.
