LUCERNE VALLEY, CA. (Pain In The Pass) >> A pedestrian who was killed when the driver of a white Ford SUV struck a man Thursday night on Highway 18 has been identified by the San Bernardino County coroner.
52-year-old Cesar Navarro of Lucerne Valley died from blunt force injuries following the crash along Hwy 18 at Tradepost Road at a 6:44pm on September 24, according to the coroner. His manner of death was ruled an accident at this time.
Sadly, this is the second time in a week a pedestrian was hit and killed by a vehicle along Highway 18 in Lucerne Valley.
Authorities said the driver remained at the scene. CHP also said drugs or alcohol are not believed to be factors in the crash.
The investigation still remains active.
