FONTANA, CA. (Pain In The Pass) >> Driver was taken to the hospital after a solo-vehicle wrong-way crash on Interstate 15 on Friday, according to California Highway Patrol.
Around 5pm, on October 2, 2026, CHP motor officers responded to a call of a wrong way vehicle traveling southbound within the center divider of northbound I-15 south of Summit Avenue near the 15/210 freeway interchange.
As Officers responded the wrong way vehicle was involved in a solo crash, overturned, and descended into a concrete wash area below the freeway.
The driver was transported to a local hospital with major injuries. DUI was not suspected.
No other vehicles were involved.
We will update this story with more information when the CHP’s preliminary accident report is available. Additional details were limited at this time. This incident will be under investigation by the California Highway Patrol, Rancho Cucamonga Office.
