HIGH DESERT, CA. ( Pain In The Pass) >> A Wind Advisory for Monday morning has a cut off low will hit Socal. A Gusty Wind Event and a Rain Event for the mountains, Victor/Apple Valley, Lucerne Valley, and the Mojave Desert locations.
This could create hazardous driving conditions and areas of blowing dust for the high desert and in the mountains.
The Southern California Weather Force has issued a Wind Advisory for the high deserts and the mountain areas. With winds blowing around 40-50+ mph in the Victor/Apple Valley area. Parts of the Barstow area will have 40-50+ mph winds. Lucerne Valley area will have 30-40+ mph winds. Mountains will have gust 40-50+ mph. Stateline/Primm/Las Vegas NV will have 30-40+ mph winds. Max wind gust will be 60 mph in spots.
Potential for hazardous crosswinds and blowing dust on Interstate 15 from the top of the Cajon Pass through Las Vegas NV as well as I-40 and other roadways in the desert.
Also secure all outdoor stuff like trash cans, chairs, BBQ, and other outdoor decorations.
This Wind Advisory should expire by Monday night.
