VICTORVILLE, CA. (Pain In The Pass) >> One person was seriously injured in a crash with another vehicle that sent his vehicle air-born and off the freeway.

California Highway Patrol and Victorville Fire Department received calls of a white Ford F-150 and a white Nissan Rogue that rolled-over then went across all lanes landed on the right shoulder of the freeway. The accident was on southbound Interstate 15 close to Palmdale Road exit. The accident happened at 9:52pm Friday on May 15, 2020.

When CHP and firefighters responded to the scene, there was one victim outside the vehicle after being ejected from his Nissan. Firefighters also requested a medical helicopter to transport.

The medical helicopter landed on the freeway. Mercy Air #2 helicopter airlifted the patient to Arrowhead Regional Medical Center.

From the CHP Traffic Log the Nissan was speeding and driving recklessly prior to the collision.

The driver of the Ford had lacerations and was transported by ground ambulance to a local hospital with minor injuries.

CHP stopped traffic on both side of the freeway for about 15 minutes for the medical helicopter to land and to take off.

This incident will be under investigation by the California Highway Patrol Victorville Office.

CHP says additional information will be updated as it becomes available.
