HESPERIA, CA. (Pain In The Pass) >> The San Bernardino County Coroner’s Office has identified a 12-year-old boy passenger who was killed in a single vehicle collision on northbound Interstate 15 just north of Main Street Saturday morning as Alexander Jacob Westendorf of Hesperia.
The crash happened Saturday morning about 9:50am on May 15, 2021. The initial investigation indicates that a black Chevrolet Avalanche pulling a travel trailer was traveling north on Interstate 15 when for an unknown reason the driver lost control and rolled-over into the center guardrail. Despite life-saving rescue measures, officials said the boy was pronounced deceased at the scene.
There is a Go Fund Me page set for Alexander, His family says these funds are going to go to an organization in his name.
