CAJON PASS, CA. (Pain In The Pass) >> Firefighters responded to multiple small in size brush fires along northbound Interstate 15 freeway in the Cajon Pass Saturday morning.

California Highway Patrol, San Bernardino County Fire Department, Cal Fire, and U.S. Department of Forest Service responded to the multiple small brush fires along the freeway and were quickly extinguish. The first fire was reported to started just before 7am on October 16, 2021, between the Kenwood Avenue and Cleghorn Road exits. This fire was quickly extinguished. The second series of fires started at 7:08am, were reported about a mile after Highway 138 exit on the right shoulder of the freeway. This fire was quickly extinguished in 30 minutes.

The cause of the all fires are under investigation.
