HESPERIA, CA. (Pain In The Pass) >> A roll-over crash on Tuesday afternoon, when a vehicle pulling a car, loses the car and the tow dolly trailer on Interstate 15.

The crash occurred about 12:37pm on northbound Interstate 15, just after the Joshua Street onramp, according to the California Highway Patrol. San Bernardino County emergency personnel arrived to find a sliver Honda Civic lying upside down in the center divider after it damaged parts of the guardrail that it collided with. CHP and emergency personnel did a search and couldn’t find anybody inside.

The vehicle that lost the car being towed is believed to be a sliver SUV. The SUV towing the Civic didn’t stop at the scene and may not have known they lost the car. At this time, CHP is looking for the vehicle. Traffic was backedup to Ranchero Road due to the fast lane blocked for over a hour.

A witness stated the tow dolly wasn’t hitched properly and the car and the trailer came off the vehicle.

This incident will be under investigation by the California Highway Patrol Victorville Office. CHP said additional information will be updated as it becomes available. Additional details were limited at this time.
