HESPERIA, CA. (Pain In The Pass) >> California Highway Patrol believe alcohol may have played a factor in a crash Sunday afternoon on northbound Interstate 15.

California Highway Patrol and firefighters from San Bernardino County Fire Department responded to the traffic crash. The crash was reported on northbound Interstate 15 just before the Bear Valley Road exit. This incident happened at about 2:16pm Sunday afternoon on February 27, 2022. The California Highway Patrol traffic log reported that a sliver Ford Escort sedan spun out and went off the right side of the roadway. Then collided with the ditch, a pole, and about a 150 foot length of chain link fence.

The driver was able to get out of the Ford prior to recuse crews arriving. No injuries were reported at the scene.

CHP was giving the driver a field sobriety test. No word yet on possible charges. This incident will be under investigation by the California Highway Patrol Victorville Office. Additional details were limited.
