This Week Roadwork On Interstate 15 In Hesperia New Traffic Pattern For the Fast Lane

HESPERIA, CA. (Pain In The Pass) >> The California Department of Transportation (Caltrans) will continue work on a $122 million project to rehabilitate and repave traffic lanes and ramps and upgrade the drainage systems in the center divider on Interstate 15 in San Bernardino County. This project will not add a extra lane to the freeway or for a train.

Crews will continue moving k-rails to start the paving operations going both north and southbound lanes.

October 17 Monday night through Friday night.
Northbound I-15 from Oak Hill Rd. to Bear Valley Rd.
• Alternating lane closures, possibly bringing lanes down to one.
• All on and off ramps are subject to intermittent closures for crew safety and related
roadwork. from 9pm to 6am*

Southbound I-15 from Bear Valley Rd to Oak Hill Rd
• Alternating lane closures, possibly bringing lanes down to one.
• All on and off ramps are subject to intermittent closures for crew safety and related
roadwork from 7pm to 5am*

All lanes open by Saturday morning at 7am*.

Additionally, a new traffic switch will occur soon. Lane #1 will be shifted toward the newly configured center median. Traffic, going both directions, will be able to use these newly constructed lanes temporarily until construction is complete. Big rigs, trucks and trailers, or large loads should not use this lane.

The new Traffic Lane Patterns will start on both sides of I-15 between Main Street in Hesperia and Bear valley Road in Victorville for approximately 1 mile at a time. This new traffic pattern will go on for months from Oak Hill Rd to Bear Valley Rd. Expect Major Delays at night.

*Times can subject to change and could go longer or start earlier. On and off ramps may be subject to closure. Please use caution and remember to reduce your speed when approaching and driving through the construction zones. Schedules are subject to change due to inclement weather or construction issues.

Possible onramps and offramps could be closed during paving operation.
