HESPERIA, CA. (Pain In The Pass) >> Sitting in traffic on a busy Friday morning is not ideal for some driver. People bustling to get to their respective workplaces down the hill, you don’t want to be stuck in a traffic jam. With the roadwork schedule to be over to make a new traffic pattern on the bypass lane however and for a finder bender, traffic is exactly what these drivers must sit through.

Recently, the roadwork has not been causing too many problems for drivers on northbound and southbound Interstate 15 from the top of the Cajon Pass to Victorville for the couple of weeks, beyond just everyday morning traffic (rush hour).

Roadwork was supposed to end at 4am Friday morning and it ended just before 5am. This caused a traffic jam because one lane was only open all night.

Also a two vehicle crash just before Main Street added to the traffic jam. Traffic was backed up at one point to Bear Valley Road this morning. Some people were sitting in traffic for over an hour+.

Roadwork will begin Friday night into Saturday morning and restart Monday night, so expect delays again in the morning next week and so on.
