HESPERIA, CA. (Pain In The Pass) >> The California Department of Transportation (Caltrans) will continue work on a $122 million project to rehabilitate and repave traffic lanes and ramps and upgrade the drainage systems in the center divider on Interstate 15 in San Bernardino County. This project will not add a extra lane to the freeway or for a train.

The new lane configuration has started so watch the road.

Northbound I-15 from Oak Hill Rd to Bear Valley Rd – 9pm. to 9am* Saturday until 8am*

  • Alternating lane closures, possibly bringing lanes down to one.
  • All on and off ramps are subject to intermittent closures for crew safety and related roadwork.
  • Traffic maybe backup after Highway 138 for about 2 miles before Oak Hill Rd.

Southbound I-15 from Main Street to Oak Hill Rd – 8pm. – 4am* Saturday until 8am*

  • Alternating lane closures, possibly bringing lanes down to one.
  • All on and off ramps are subject to intermittent closures for crew safety and related roadwork.

Traffic may be delay for 15 to 30 minutes to about a hour at peak times. Plan ahead and take alternative routes Highway 138 and go around or exit Oak Hill Rd. and take side streets.

Remember to slow for construction crews and always move over for CHP, Caltrans, or Contractors with lights flashing.
