HESPERIA, CA. (Pain In The Pass) >> Two separate crashes involving semi tractor-trailers on Interstate 15 in Hesperia are causing major delays Sunday morning, Two on the northbound lanes were closed for hours. (Photo above is credit by Del Fuentes)
California Highway Patrol and San Bernardino County Fire Department responded to both traffic collisions. The first collision was reported about 3:27am on northbound I-15 just before the Main Street exit. The vehicles involved in this crash was a black 4 door sedan and a semi. All lanes were blocked sometime as they cleared the scene.
The second collision was reported about 4:19am in the traffic backup from the first crash just after Joshua Street onramp. The vehicles involved in this crash was a black Tesla SUV with major front-end damage and a semi pulling a set of pneumatic dry bulk cement tankers. Speed was a factor in this crash.
We don’t immediately know how many people were involved or injured in both collisions, but said that none of the injuries were life-threatening.
CHP are still working to determine exactly how both crashes happened. We will update this story with more information when the CHP’s preliminary accident report is available. Additional details were limited at this time. This incident will be under investigation by the California Highway Patrol, Victorville Office.
