VICTORVILLE, CA. (Pain In The Pass) >> Firefighters quickly control a small brush fire that broke out in the Mojave River bed Friday afternoon.
The fire was reported at about 1:31pm Friday, May 3, 2024. The location of the fire was in the Mojave River bed next to Interstate 15 and Stoddard Wells Road. Victorville Fire Department and CAL Fire firefighters were quickly on scene.
By 2:41pm the fire had forward progression stopped at about ¼ acres burned with help of slow rate of spread. The freeway or structures was never affected by the flames or the smoke. The cause of the fire is under investigation at this time
