California Highway Patrol and San Bernardino County Fire Department were getting calls of a gray Ford F-150 Raptor pick-up truck on fire. The truck pulled off to the right shoulder, about two miles from Cleghorn Road exit at 9:50am on June 21, 2024.
California Highway Patrol and firefighters were on the scene and had to temporarily shut down the slow lane and the #4 lane while they worked on getting the vehicle fire put out.
CHP issued a SIG Alert for the 2 lanes being blocked for 45 minutes. Lanes were reopened to traffic and delayed for about an hour. Traffic was backed up just before the Kenwood Avenue exit.
Everybody did escape the truck before it became fully engulfed. No injuries were reported at the scene.
The cause of the pickup truck fire is unknown at this time.
