CAJON PASS, CA. (Pain In The Pass) >> The California Department of Transportation (Caltrans) informs the public that contractor crews will soon begin work in San Bernardino County on Interstate 15 (I-15) North of Kenwood Ave to South of Cajon Blvd. This project includes funding from Senate Bill (SB) 1 and will help the existing culverts, an investment to fix our aging infrastructure.

Culvert work will start on Monday, July 29, 2024, and will be done during nighttime hours from 10pm to 6am. There will be lane closures on both Northbound (NB) and Southbound (SB) lanes of Interstate 15 (I-15). Two lanes will be closed about 2 mile north of Kenwood Ave exit to about a mile before to Cleghorn Road exit.

Cajon Blvd old Route 66 should be open to bypass the closure.

Expect a traffic backup in this area and then above in Heseperia with that roadwork project.

These closures will last from Monday night, July 29 to Friday, August 2, 2024, from 10pm to 6am** each night.

Signage will be posted near the work area; drivers may experience traffic delays during hours of operation. Work is anticipated to be completed September 2024. weather and/or materials may affect construction schedule.
