CAJON PASS, CA. (Pain In The Pass) >> Crews with the San Bernardino County Fire Department, Cal Fire, and the San Bernardino National Forest Service all help knocked down a one-acre brush fire in the Cajon Pass Monday afternoon. (Photo above is credit by Guerra Angela)
California Highway Patrol and the fire crews were called in at about 1:36pm on August 5, 2024. The fire was location between the train tracks and Cajon Boulevard, south of Cleghorn Road in the Cajon Wash.
When fire personnel units were on scene. They found the brush fire was burning in the wash at a moderate rate of spread.
At 2:18pm fire crews said forward progress stopped at a acre to a acre and a half burned.
This fire is being called the “Sheep Fire”. The cause was under investigation.
