LYTLE CREEK, CA. (Pain In The Pass)>> A motorhome and subsequent wildfire briefly shuttered a portion Lytle Creek Canyon Road, as a motorhome blaze sparked the Scotland Fire near the town of Lytle Creek.(Photo above is credit by Codi Lorrainne Herrema.)

The motorhome fire was reported about 5:44pm on September 11, 2024, with flames coming from the engine compartment. According to San Bernardino County Fire, the roadway to Lytle Creek was closed after the motorhome fire ignited nearby brush on the hillside.

The fire, which officials have named the Scotland Fire, burned approximately ¼ acre of land, and foward rate of spread stopped about a half of hour later. The fire causing not only a local evacuation scare but the nearby Bridge Fire is slowly moving towards the town as of Wednesday afternoon.

Everybody did escape the vehicle before it became fully engulfed. No injuries were reported at the scene. The cause of the vehicle fire is unknown at this time.
