ONTARIO, CA. (Pain In The Pass) >> Caltrans will close a section of the Northbound and Southbound Interstate 15 lanes this weekend for emergency repairs Saturday morning-afternoon and Sunday morning-afternoon. Expect Major Traffic Delays at peak times.

This Weekend Traffic Alerts:
At least two lanes on the north and southbound Interstate 15 in the Ontario area will close this weekend as crews make emergency repairs. Work will take place in and along the freeway’s center median in the area of a project area to add toll lanes, in a previous article stated.
On Saturday, March 8, the left two lanes of the northbound I-15 will close from 4 am to 2pm** between the 60 FreewayMission Blvd bridge and the 10 Freeway.

On Sunday, March 9, from 4am to 2pm**, the two left lanes of the southbound 15 Freeway will be closed between Fourth Street in Ontario and the 60 Freeway.

Crews are trying to make repairs before more rain that’s expected next week.
**Times can subject to change and could go longer, start earlier, or finish early.
Starting very soon The Interstate 15 Corridor Freight and Extend the Express Lanes Project. The 8-mile project from Cantu-Galleano Ranch Road exit in Jurupa Valley to just north of Foothill Boulevard exit in Rancho Cucamonga in both directions. This will add express lanes in the median of Interstate 15 to join the existing express lanes in Riverside County and add auxiliary lanes to improve traffic operations and safety in the vicinity of the 15 Freeway, 60 Freeway and the 10 Freeway interchanges.
