VICTORVILLE, CA. (Pain In The Pass) >> A man is in the hospital after being involved in a hit-and-run rollover car crash on Interstate 15 early Saturday morning.

The crash happened on northbound Interstate 15 just after the Bear Valley Road exit around 5:17am this morning March 15, 2025, according to California Highway Patrol.

It was reported to be a two-vehicle hit and run collision involving a black Ford Crown Victoria sedan and a dark colored Volkswagen Jetta sedan.

It was reported the driver of the VW had to be traveling at a high “rate of speed” just before the collision of the back of the Crown Vic. The contact causes the Crown Vic to lose control, crashed off the freeway, and rolled-over multiple times.

The Crown Vic landed about 100 to 200 feet off of the right shoulder of the freeway on its side. CHP said, the VW didn’t stop and fled the scene down I-15.

Victorville City Fire Department were called to the scene and they said, they needed to extricated the male driver from the vehicle. They called for a medical helicopter to transport the driver from the hospital to a trauma center.

From the CHP traffic log said, the VW car involved in the hit and run had been located two exits down I-15. They said the VW was located on Mariposa Road, near the Palmdale Road exit, in the parking lot of the Green Tree Inn in Victorville. The vehicle has major front-end damage and airbags deployed.

The driver of the VW was detained at the scene and had minor injuries from the collision.

The driver of the Crown Vic was transported by ground ambulance to St. Mary’s Medical Center in Apple Valley after they cancel the medical helicopter.
