DEVORE, CA. (Pain In The Pass) >> Firefighters gained control of a small brush fire that broke out in Devore/north end of San Bernardino on southbound Interstate 215 Monday afternoon, officials said.
San Bernardino County Fire Department ground units responded to the blaze on southbound I-215 between the Devore Road exit and Palm Avenue/Kendall Drive exits on the right shoulder next to homes and pallet yards. The fire was reported around 1:47pm, fire officials said. The blaze had burned at least ¼ acre of light dry brush.
Firefighter said the fire was burning at a slow rate of spread with light gusty winds.
The cause of the fire is under investigation but fire officials said preliminary indications showed that there were no homeless encampments near the fire’s point of origin. It looks to be human-caused fire.
