CAJON PASS, CA. (Pain In The Pass) >> The California Department of Transportation (Caltrans) alerts the public on Saturday morning and the afternoon that Metro Specialized Striping crews (line stripping) will conduct a striping operation on Interstate 15 (I-15) in the Cajon Pass if weather permits.
This operation will be performed on Saturday, July 19th from 6am to 4pm** The following are planned work and closure locations: See map below.

• From 6pm to 10am, a closure of the northbound I-15 the #5 lane (slow lane) from about a mile after Highway 138 exit to Oak Hill Road for re-striping of the lane.
• From 10am to 4pm, a closure of the southbound I-15 #4 lane (slow lane) at the old Truck Safety/Brake Check Area to the Runaway Truck Ramp for re-strip the lane.
**Times can subject to change and could go longer or start earlier. Please use caution and remember to reduce your speed when approaching and driving through the roadwork zones. Schedules are subject to change due to inclement weather or construction issues.
