SAN BERNARDINO, CA. (Pain In The Pass) >> A homeless woman was apprehended after leading San Bernardino Police on an hour-long pursuit around San Bernardino and the Cajon Pass late Sunday morning.
The pursuit started around 11:30am Sunday August 17, 2025 near the Waterman Avenue area. The female driver of the stolen silver Ford F-150 pickup truck lead police officers and a helicopter on the northbound 215 Freeway, then on northbound I-15 freeway. Halfway up the Cajon Pass she made a U-turn on the freeway just after Highway 138 exit due to a traffic jam from an earlier crash.
She jumps on southbound 15 Freeway travel down the Cajon Pass and enter southbound 215 Freeway. She exits the Palm Avenue/Kendall Drive exit in north San Bernardino.
The pursuit came to a stop after the truck was disabled at the intersection of Palm Ave and Little League Drive.
With help by a K9 unit managed to bring her to the ground, and after resisting further, she was taken into custody.
She received medical attention for injuries caused by the K9.
