PHELAN, CA. (Pain In The Pass) >> Fire crews worked to contain multiple small brush fires that broke out along Highway 138 late Wednesday morning.
According to San Bernardino County Fire, crews responded around 11:40am on November 26, 2025, to reports of several small brush fires along Hwy 138. Crews found at least four small fires on the right shoulder, which prompted a right lane closure while firefighters worked on containment, officials said.
Officials said fire crews are now demobilizing, and all lanes appear to have reopened. The cause of the fires remains unknown.
Fire investigators were dispatched to determine the cause of the fires.
No injuries were reported.
