HESPERIA, CA. (Pain In The Pass) >> The back end of a semi tractor-trailer caught fire on northbound Interstate 15 Tuesday morning.
The incident happened around 8:38am on June 23, 2026, on northbound Interstate 15 just after Highway 395/Joshua Street exit.
San Bernardino County Fire Department personnel responded to the scene to find the rear portion of the trailer fully engulfed in flames.
Shortly after arriving, fire crews were able to extinguish the flames. They spent the next hour or so soaking the back of the trailer, undercarriage and wheels of the trailer with water. It was reported the trailer had trash inside.
Two lanes were blocked and traffic was backed up before Ranchero Road.
No injuries were reported.
Although the trailer itself was destroyed, the semi-truck was able to detached from the trailer and did not appear to be damaged.
