SAN BERNARDINO, CA. (Pain In The Pass) >> Firefighters have stopped the forward progression of the Kendall Fire, a 4-acre grass and brush fire Friday afternoon.
The fire was burning in the 4400 Block of Frontage Road, next to northbound 215 Freeway in the north end of San Bernardino near Devore around 2:50pm August 14, 2026.
The San Bernardino County Fire is using a bulldozer to establish a containment line around the fire, while firefighters and with help from CDF and CAL FIRE continue extinguishing hot spots within the burned area.
Crews will monitor the fire this evening.
Officials said no structures have been damaged and no injuries have been reported. There are also no evacuations or road closures, and officials reported no current public safety concerns.
