A Fast Moving Winter Storm Causes A Traffic Jam In The Cajon Pass

CAJON PASS, CA. (Pain In The Pass) >> The pounding rain and snow showers that sweep through the Cajon Pass Tuesday afternoon has left behind accidents, and icy roads. Sending California Highway Patrol officers scrambling.

The CHP offices reported a busy afternoon with most officers out responding to crashes and spinouts. CHP said they reported ten time more accidents today than a average Tuesday.

If you are going up or down the Cajon Pass, make sure to slow down and leave enough room between vehicles. Black Ice has been reported on some of the roadways in the high desert.

Scattered rain/snow showers tonight. Wednesday morning will be below freezing level and mostly sunny.
