PHELAN, CA. (Pain In The Pass) >> Two people injured after a two-pickup truck accident in Phelan Sunday afternoon when a witness said a truck veered into oncoming traffic.
California Highway Patrol and San Bernardino County Fire Department received calls of a white Chevrolet Silverado pickup truck and a sliver Chevrolet Silverado pickup truck on Highway 138 at Eaglestone Lane just before Hess Road. The crash was reported at about 3:27pm Sunday August 7, 2022.
Emergency crews said two people were injured with one person being unconscious. The driver of the sliver truck had moderate to major injuries and was transported by ambulance to a local hospital. The person in the the white truck was transported by ambulance to a local hospital with moderate injuries.
A witness stated the white truck was making a left turn from Hwy 138, then the driver of the silver pickup truck was traveling down Hwy 138 and hit the white truck in the passenger door.
The incident will be under investigation by the California Highway Patrol Inland Office. CHP said additional information will be updated as it becomes available. Details were limited at this time.
