SAN BERNARDINO, CA. (Pain In The Pass) >> An 11-year-old girl from Apple Valley was killed, and several others injured in a rollover crash on the 15 Freeway Sunday evening.
California Highway Patrol and the San Bernardino County Fire says the crash happened at around 6:51pm along Interstate 15 between the Glen Helen Parkway and Sierra Avenue exits.
According to preliminary information from the California Highway Patrol, the Ford Expedition was traveling northbound with six people. The driver unexpectedly veered to the left, collided with the center divider concrete median, and rolled over, ultimately coming to rest in the southbound lanes.
That’s when two southbound vehicles, a white Tesla and a black Maserati also became involved in the crash with some damage to their vehicles. No injuries were reported from the two vehicles.
The 11-year-old girl, a passenger in a Ford was deceased at the scene, while several other occupants were taken to local hospitals for treatment.
Some witnesses said, they believe the Ford blown a tire. CHP said the investigation into the cause of the crash is ongoing, and authorities are urging witnesses or anyone with additional information to contact CHP Officer J. Gonzalez at 909-383-4227.
