EASTVALE, CA. (Pain In The Pass) >> A multi-county high-speed chase along the 14 Freeway, Highway 138 and Interstate 15 ended in a PIT Maneuver in Riverside County.
The pursuit started around 12:50am with the Kern County Sheriff’s officers trying to pull over a silver Honda Accord sedan traveling on southbound 14 Freeway passing the Rosamond Blvd exit.
That’s when Antelope Valley California Highway Patrol took over the pursuit on multiple side streets in the Palmdale area. The suspect enters eastbound Pearblossom Highway from 165th Street East in the town of Llano traveling at 100 mph.
Still traveling on eastbound Highway 138 passed Highway 18 at 120 mph. That’s when the Victorville CHP office took over the pursuit.
Minutes later the suspect continued southbound on the 15 freeway down the Cajon Pass about 1:45am.
The suspect vehicle continued southbound on the 15 freeway, he intermittently stopped multiple times on the freeway before taking off down the freeway again.
At approximately 2am CHP officers did a PIT maneuver just before Cantu-Galleano Ranch Road exit in Eastvale bring the pursuit to an end.
The suspect was taken into custody after a brief struggle.
The reason for the original traffic stop that led to the pursuit remains unknown at this time.
